  • don't forget to also write down which derivation paths and/or software you use with which seed, electrum's seeds are specific to a version so when you recover you can be reasonably certain that funds do not get misplaced, but with BIP39 if you load them into software doesn't know use the same derivation path or script type there's no error, the only indication that something went wrong is that not all funds will be found
