Kali Linux MATE 2017.3 Installation + VMware Tools + Overview on VMware Workstation [2017]

This video tutorial shows Kali Linux MATE 2017.3 installation and overview on VMware Workstation/Player step by step. This tutorial is also helpful to install Kali Linux MATE 2017.3 on physical computer or laptop hardware. We also install VMware Tools (Open VM Tools) on Kali Linux MATE for better performance and usability features: Fit Guest Now, Drag-Drop File and Clipboard Sharing.

Steps:
1- Create Virtual Machine on VMware Workstation/Player
2- Start Kali Linux MATE 2017.3 Installation
3- Install LightDM Display Manager

Kali Linux MATE 2017.3 New Features and Improvements
Kali Linux is a Debian-derived Linux distribution designed for digital forensics and penetration testing. Kali Linux MATE 2017.3 includes all patches, fixes, updates, and improvements since Kali Linux 2017.2. In this release, the kernel has been updated to 4.13.10 and it includes some notable improvements:
– CIFS now uses SMB 3.0 by default
– EXT4 directories can now contain 2 billion entries instead of the old 10 million limit
– TLS support is now built into the kernel itself
