It’s time to look at the top 5 Linux distros to watch for in 2020! The Linux distributions in this list aren’t the flashiest but there’s reason to be excited for each of them as we enter 2020!
I’ve done videos similar to this in previous years but I hope to feature each of these videos as standalone Distro Delves episodes (yes, even SteamOS!).
Not all of the distros in the list are Linux Desktop distros and it sort of foreshadows future Linux distro review videos.
For folks looking for spoilers, here’s the list of distros I talk about in the video:
* Ubuntu 20.04
* elementaryOS 6
* Solus
* Nitrux
* SteamOS
* openSUSE 15.2

Started to use Linux no long ago and landed on Endless OS. Pretty easy to use and has a lot of feaures in hand.
I wil try Elemenary OS next. Thanks for the video
Arch is Love 😍 Arch is life 🌻🐝
Did steamOS even get an update in the last two years? I’ve seen people just resort to using Ubuntu as a steam machine just to get proton running.
Regata OS looks interisting but I dont have a extra HW to try on.
question for those that are user of linux. In regards to today's tech, why the hell would you want to use a terminal to install anything? and why does linux "most" distros always look 8 bit out of the box??? it's 2020.
Elementary
Manjaro should on the list
How do u get elementaryOS 6 I can see only 5 Hera. Please provide us the url to download. Thanks
It cannot be openSUSE 15.2, because we just entered Beta phase 6-7 hourse ago with our coming new release. So, you reviewed an Alpha release?
Man, as always everything looks beauty in UTube, but, can you tell What Distro is the very best ?, I don´t think so, coz every single Linux Distro is erratic as Windows 10 is, so, in the 21 century Is not possible to develop just a system that work properly ?, Oh man, how stupid we are yet….
Thanx Dudde
I'm a Zorin user, I switch over from Windows 10 like 2 months a go. I'd been working on the terminal and customizing my Desktop, and man i can't be anymore happy than this. Maybe in the future i will try another Kernel for the moment I'm just going to stick with Zorin due to the process of adaptation to Linux.
Just a humble opinion and peace and love to everyone, Amor y Paz!!!!
After much trial and error matching distros with hardware (esp. wireless adapters), elementaryOS is one of the handful I've settled on. At the same time, OpenSUSE would not have tempted me at all had I not heard about Gecko Linux as the far friendlier "front end" for it.
I like to have a play with other distro's but Elementary Os is my winner, it's almost perfect for me.
I get my teeth on Gentoo/KDE for many years but now I have moved from an i7 with 32gb of ram to a HP netbook I am using Artix/LXqt with qt/KDE apps and OpenRC. Very stable and lightweight.
00:18 Solus
00:54 elementaryOS 6
01:34 SteamOS
02:16 OpenSUSE 15.2
03:05 Ubuntu 20.04
03:48 Nitrux
I do like it linux mint cinnamon 19.3
hey, there some distro when you can play World of Warcraft ? I see the battlenet icon on your elementaryOS system, the WOW game run ok in the BFA expansion ???? Thank you.
I think solus is a good OS but for some reason I don't feel there's a big enough community behind it to keep it going am I wrong?
video editing on linux, that would be useful topic to watch
I didn't have good experience with Elementary Os back in 2016, what have changed last years ?
Hey! I have a distro that might be neat to check out. It's Ubuntu based, sure, but the "Ubuntu Kylin" 20.04 release this April looks super slick. Maybe once it comes out, it might be worth checking out.
Where do you get elementaryOS 6
What's the name of the game he was playing at the end of the video?
I personally prefer Manjaro Gnome because it works great, looks great and contains all the AUR packages so I can just simply install all the apps I need from the software manager. I've tried Manjaro KDE before and I liked the customization options and the desktop widgets but after all it became quite chaotic as I made a mess of the theme. So for me there are too much customization options and I also noticed that download speeds were much slower in the software manager compared to Manjaro Gnome.
Solus … Definitely
I am used to Linux Mint Cinnamon, all the defaults are great, terminal color scheme, light theme, xed text editor, mint y theme/icons, its just has great default looks and doesnt need much customization. But as windows 10 it got boring, but I am hesitant to try out KDE plasma or smth. As manjaro page described Cinnamon DE before its traditional and modern and traditional also give simplicity which was used describing gnome 3 DE.
Nitrux looks super interesting! maybe I'll try it out when I get a actual pc in a year or two xD
bbb
I am running Zorin and MX 19.
I would add Manjaro to the list. It will be interesting to see what changes materialize now that they are for-profit.
#manjaro
Deepin anyone? i believe is the best looking one with a great performance.
I will stick with Pop Os for now.
